FOOD & YOUR LIBIDO: APHRODISIACS TO PUT YOU IN THE MOOD

Seaweed also provides plenty of vitamins and antioxidants (A, C, E, K, folate, zinc, sodium, calcium, and magnesium) as well as iodine from the ocean, which protects the thyroid! 

Salmon 

As opposed to a product from the sea like seaweed, salmon is a freshwater fish with a really important function when it comes to a woman’s health. Salmon is full of Omega-3 fatty acids, the nutrient found in fish oil pills. Although the thought of chowing down on a plate of fish before getting some action might not sound like a huge turn on, there are a lot of reasons to get in the mood for this!


Salmon is good for your liver as well as your brain health, and the fattiness of this beautiful pink fish is also excellent for improving blood flow. As we know, improved blood flow and pressure is crucial for the physical expression of getting aroused and having enjoyable sex. 

Figs

An oldie but a goodie! Figs have been considered an aphrodisiac since the ancient Greeks (a symbol of the goddess of fertility and agriculture), and it turns out for more reasons than their evocative image. 


Figs contain several vitamins and minerals, lots of amino acids, and specifically iron, which is necessary for healthy development of eggs during ovulation. They are also quite sweet, which is a nice treat with a healthy punch.

Onions and Garlic

Leafy Greens 

There’s a reason your doctor wants you to eat your dark leafy greens! These little bundles of health contain a multitude of benefits, but in particular they tend to contain folate, the B vitamin that improves ovulation. 


Leafy greens can also help you feel sexy because, after eating a nice healthy dinner, you should feel energized and fulfilled. Just remember to floss before you get down to business!
